The Lift Industry Mental Health Charter Cup 20th May 2023

Our football event supporting mental health was a great success!!

It was a fantastic day enjoyed by all attending, and taking part, with great support from our sponsors during the day, and mental health awareness week. Currently the event has raised around £6,000, but donations are still coming in! From the event we hope to raise £8,000 to support mental courses within our industry and highlight mental health.

Throughout the course of the day we had approximately 250 people attending from the industry along with family members. To learn a little more about our event and the day, please have a look at the videos and photos below. We will be creating a gallery as more pictures arrive!

A link to the final match in the Dartford stadium between CTA/Jacksons and Safeline/Target Lifts can be viewed below, with special thanks to Andy Gino at Fujitec for supplying the footage.

About the Event

The group stages

There were 20 teams taking part with four 5 a-side pitches, each playing a mini league format at 14 mins per match. We had some great games with over 200 goals. Thanks to Richard Wood and Steve Kitteridge for helping out on the day and compiling the stats:

41 games played including the final
222 goals scored (nearly 5.5 goals per game)
League A goals scored 49

League B goals scored 41
League C goals scored 84

League D goals scored 45
Final goals scored           3

Two games with 12 goals (one being 11-1)

Jack Kleen won the golden boot with 12 goals

The Four League Winners

Four teams won their respective leagues and played in a hotly contested final. Our winning league winners were CTA, Jacksons, Safeline and Target Lifts. Some of these teams were made up from multiple companies within our industry creating teams for the final in the Dartford Stadium.

Here we have Target with their league winners trophy presented on the day.

The Final

In total there were 9 companies who took part in the lift industry mental health charter cup final!!!

On one side was Cibes, Titan, Apex (CTA) and Jackson’s, playing as one team in the final. On the other side was Target Lifts and Safeline, with the Safeline team made up from Intelligent Lifts, Flex Lifts ,Temple Lifts, all playing as one team!

It was truly a unique final where companies within our industry come together with CTA/Jacksons coming out on top and winning 2 - 1 in the final.

We had some great stands on the day highlighting mental health

On the day we had various stands showcasing different items such as a well-being stand and mental health stand, with Petrain services providing metal health support information and useful cards which can be used to contact support services. Thanks to Petra Northwood for turning up early and helping to set this stand up.

Our well-being stand had essential oils, Indian head massage, reflexology and reiki, with thanks to Patsy Charles for providing the essential oils and Anne Stuart for providing the Indian Head massage and Reiki.

We had a Cake Stand raising monies for mental health, with thanks to Emily Still from EZE Lifts and Elle from Robert Gerrard.

With local suppliers, such as, Tool bank showcasing a tools and  WJ King highlighting vans.

We would like to thank our sponsors!

Dewhurst (Principle Sponsor) - For supporting on the day and helping to highlight mental health within our industry. Dewhurst also supplied the lanyards for our medals and various banners.
